I've got an interview with Chuck Cleaver of Wussy in today's Inquirer. They're the Cincinnati outfit fronted by Cleaver and Lisa Walker that you might not have heard of that a certain esteemed rock critic has declared "the best band in America." Read all about it here.

Tonight, Wussy plays the World Cafe Live at the Queen in Wilmington, and on Friday they do the North Star Bar, on a formidable bill that also features Low Cut Connie and Dan Ex-Machina.

Below, you'll see a video of the group, expanded to a fivesome with Cleaver's former Ass Pony band mate John Erhardt on pedal steel, playing "Pulverized" at Lance Armstrong's Mellow Johnny's bike shop in Austin, Texas during the SXSW festival this past March. Click here to sample Buckeye, the new best-of Wussy compilation album just released on the British Damnably label.

Show info here and here.
