Music at the NFL draft: Strand of Oaks, The Districts, Chill Moody in all-Philly lineup

Go to the NFL draft and ride a zip line, test your field goal kicking skills and go see a Philly rock and roll band.
Or a rapper. Synergistic sports and music marketing will be in effect this weekend at the NFL Draft Experience. Along with the obstacle courses and autograph booths at the free extravaganza on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, there's a music stage.
Five local Philadelphia acts are thus far scheduled to perform, none of which fit any kind of headbanging sterotype you might expect to be soundtracking a celebration of gridiron mayhem. It's a well-chosen lineup of bands. First up is indie folk band Good Old War at 5 p.m. on Friday, followed at 7 by backpack-wearing West Philly rapper Chill Moody at 7. And Tim Showalter's Strand Of Oaks, currently touring behind the excellent, rocked out new Hard Love, plays at 9.
On Saturday, as the draft winds down, two more acts play. Rapper Tunji Ige, the Nigerian-born emcee who collaborates with producer Noah Breakfast (nee Beresin) formerly of Chiddy Bang, is up at 3.
And The Districts, the Philly foursome who have just announced their new album, Popular Manipulations, due Aug. 11. The Rob Grote-led band whiich hails from Lititz, Pa., is an electric live act, and will close down the NFL Experience shebang with a peformance at 5 p.m.
