Night Two of Bruce Springsteen's four show October stand at the Spectrum kicked off with the rambling, shambling Main Point era mainstay, "Thundercrack" and was juiced by a party-hearty encore blast of "Ramrod," that was a request from an 8 year old celebrating his birthday ("Incredible taste!" Springsteen enthused), and the Mitch Ryder-derived "Detroit Medley," a Springsteen staple from back in the day. Blistering, brooding Darkness On The Edge Of Town from beginning to end was the main attraction of a show that clocked in a 2 hours 45 minutes, about 20 minutes shorter than Tuesday's Born To Run blast off, which boasted more outrageous energy, but did not include the "Theme From Rocky" snippet trumpeter Curt Ramm played before "Rosalita," nor the by-request three-accordion version of "Sherry Darling," nor the presence of Springsteen's wife Patti Scialfa, who was back on board for this one. More on BTR vs. Darkness in the morning. Springsteen and the E Streeters are back at it with Born To Run on Monday, and Born in the U.S.A. on Tuesday. Here's the list.
