Ron Howard's 'Made in America' movie to premier at Toronto Film Festival

Last year, during the inaugural Budweiser Made in America festival, director Ron Howard followed Jay Z around and shot footage for a movie that, it turns out, will be shown at the Toronto Film Festival in September.

Described as "a love letter not only to Jay Z and his unique project, but also to the city of Philadelphia," Made in America will feature performance footage from D'Angelo, Dirty Projectors, The Hives, Jill Scott and others, including of course, Jay.Z. It's showing on Saturday September 7 in Toronto, for all those headed to the Great White North. Details here. No word on when the documentary sees a wider release.

This year's Made in America, with Beyonce and Nine Inch Nails headlining, happens on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 on the Ben Franklin Parkway.
