Tonight is Born to Run night at the Spectrum, with Bruce Springsteen playing the first of his four album themed shows at Broad and Pattison this month. Below is the 1975 Hammersmith Odeon live version of "Thunder Road," the song which topped last week's WXPN Desert Island countdown list, and whose "pulling out of here to win" line I believe was written prophetically in reference to the Phillies' NLDS victory in Colorado last night.

Probably the greatest version ever of Thunder Road. All Bruce. Nobody else even knew the words yet. Stunning.

COOL! Yeah, driving, parking, that crowded concourse all suck--but once you're in, you'll be transported for 3 hours. Laura will be back there tonight, sec 314, row 6--you should try to hook up afterwards (email me and I'll give you her cell). Hope you and Kath have a blast.
