Piazza Party
Dan DeLuca, Inquirer Music Critic

There an excellent Philebrity-sponsored July 4 free show at the Piazza at Schmidt's, where the news hasn't been so good lately. The all local lineup includes horn powered hip-hop big band Black Landlord, rising hip-hop emcee TuPhace (that's him), sludgy garage soul specialists The Tough Shits, Brit Invasion influenced melody makers The Capitol Years (that's them below), piano playing pop mastermind B.C. Camplight, Art DiFuria's Photon Band, who will be playing their 2008 EP Alone On The Moon from start to finish, and techno disco band Pink Skull. The music starts at 2 on Saturday. Schedule is here.

Post 'em now, because this is the closest we'll get to being able to post comments regarding the Piazza slayings... J H- Let's pretend that drug money does not elect half of city council, judges and enable ward leaders, congressmen with the rest coming from the dealer relatives of cops, so that plenty of them look the other way.
