Pearl Jam playing two shows in South Philadelphia in October

Perennial Philadelphia favorites Pearl Jam are doing two shows at the Wells Fargo Center on October 21 and 22. The band's tour kicks off in London, Ontario on July 16.

The last time Eddie Vedder and company played South Philadelphia in October was in 2009, when the Phillies were in the World Series and PJ were shutting down the Spectrum across the street. A  video of the band dressed as Devo and playing "Whip It" on Halloween on the last night of that run of four shows is below.

It's expected the band's 10th studio album, and first since 2009's Backspacer, will be announced soon. Tickets go on sale July 27th.
