Pavement Reunion
We'll see if this really happens, but according to all the reliable indie sources - Pitchfork, Brooklyn Vegan, etc. - Pavement, the slanted and enchanted '90s indie outfit who have not played a show this decade, will get back together in 2010. The one allegedly confirmed show for Stephen Malkmus and crew is on September 21, 2010 at Central Park Summerstage in New York. Meantime, here's the slacker video for "Range Life," a great song with a CCR lick and a memorable Smashing Pumpkins dis. UPDATE: The official announcement is here on the Pavement site. Somewhat absurdly, tickets for 9/21/2010 go on sale next Friday.

I can usually understand why a band has a following even when i don't really care for that band.But i just don't get the fascination with Pavement.I do like that song about gettng a haircut though.Were they a great concert band band? Mon
