Paul McCartney Coming To The Wachovia Center In August

Paul McCartney skipped Philadelphia on his east coast stadium tour last summer, but the 67 year old cute Beatle will bring his Up And Coming Tour indoors to the Wachovia Center on August 14. Macca, who last performed in Philadelphia in 2005, promises a career spanning set list, from the Fab Four to songs from Electric Arguments, his 2008 collaboration with British producer Youth as The Fireman. Last week, the left handed bassist with a knack for a hummable tune was honored with the Gershwin Prize at the White House by President Obama. Tickets for the Wachovia show go on sale Monday June 21 at 10, through ComcastTix.com and LiveNation.com.

- Yes - he tells the Obama crowd after 8 years of Bush - it's nice to have a President that knows what a library is. It would be nicer to have a Congress that knows how to read a bill before they sign it. Do our entertainers go to England and insult their leaders? - I doubt hulk0455 has listened to any of McCartney's albums since the mid-'70s if he makes a comment that he hasn't put out a decent one since then. I can name five more-than-decent ones right off the top. How about Tug of War, Flowers in the Dirt, Flaming Pie, Run Devil Run, Chaos & Creation in the Backyard? And the live albums are very good, too. Another fool commenting on something about which he knows nothing.— JT123

- JT123, he has put out some decent tracks but not a good, complete album since Venus and Mars. That's my opinion. He still acts like he is trying to be the cool, cutesy guy he was labeled 45 YEARS AGO. He was a very talented guy at one point but it's over. Spend your $ and have a good time seeing him but most of us recognize the deterioration of his creativity. It happens.......I'm the biggest Pink Floyd fan in the world but The Final Cut was a big disappointment.— hulk0455
