Morrissey to play Tower Theater in April, The National and Dirty Projectors coming to the Mann in June

Now that the Oscars have transpired and 2012 awards season is finally over, let's get back to business with two Monday morning concert announcements. 

Morrissey wiill play the Tower Theater on April 6. Will the storied Upper Darby venue go vegan, as the Staples Center may or may not be doing in honor of the red meat-loathing former Smiths frontman when he plays Los Angeles on March 1? Uncear, as I don't even know if they serve hot dogs at the Tower. Are soft pretzels vegan? Tickets go on sale March 1.

The summer schedule at the Mann Center in Fairmount park is fiilling out, with the Matt Berninger-fronted The National, who have new music due in May, topping a bill that also features intriguing indie experimentalists Dirty Projectors on June 7.  Tickets for that one also go on sale on 3/1 at 10 a.m.
