Michael Jackson: Not Dead Yet

As a commercial force, that is: Last week, was Michael Jackson's best yet as deceased sales juggernaut. He moved 1.1. million albums, up 37% from the week before, according to Neilson SoundScan. Credit goes to the saturation funeral coverage, and retailers ability to restock on titles to meet demand. The hits collection Number Ones leads the way with 349,000 copies sold, making it the biggest selling album in the country for the third straight week. (Maxwell's BLACKsummers'night was the second biggest seller of the week, with a strong 316,000 showing.)
