A Mayor Nutter Playlist

One day last week, I hung out in City Hall and drove around in the Mayormobile wilth the Hon. Michael A. Nutter, talking to Philadelphia's chief executive about music and Made in America.

That's a picture of a cardboard cut-out of the Mayor in his City Hall waiting room. Made in America, which the Mayor helped bring to the Ben Franklin Parkway, is happening on Saturday and Sunday, and Bruce Springsteen is playing at Citizen Bank Park on Sunday and Monday. It's a big music weekend in Philadelphia, and Mixmaster Mike expects to turn up at some point at both venues.

Below, check out a playlist I put together of some of the Nutter's favorite tunes. (Gil-Scott Heron's "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised is not on Spotify, so sorry about that omission, Mayor.) My interview with Nutter is here and Tom Gralish's Mixmaster Mike video is below, along with the playlist.
