Listen: Philly rapper-producer Lushlife's 'Idols + Enemies' mixtape for the ACLU

Full title: 'My Idols Are Dead And My Enemies Are In Power.'

Raj Haldar, the Philadelphia rapper-producer who performs as Lushlife, has released an "interdisciplinary mixtape" called My Idols Are Dead And My Enemies Are In Power, or Idols + Enemies for short.

Timed to the Presidential Inauguration, it features outpoken rappers such as Killer Mike and Philadelphia's own Moor Mother as well as academics Sut Jhally and Jedediah Purdy.

All proceeds benefit the American Civil Liberties Union, Haldar's chosen charity "in the face of an incoming administration that has openly threatened our basic constitutional freedoms." The mix is downloadable here for a suggested $8 donation, though it's still gettable if you offer more, or less.

Read my Philadelphia Inquirer profile of Lushlife, timed to the release of last year's Ritualize right here. Watch the Idols & Enemies trailer below.
