Leonard Cohen Falls Down, Gets Back Up

Leonard Cohen, who turns 75 today, collapsed on stage in Valencia, Spain on Friday night. After getting down on his knees and popping back up earlier in the song, the esteemed septuagenarian song-poet fainted at the end of a performance of "Bird On A Wire." The Times Of London reported that Cohen was taken to a hospital and treated for food poisoning, and released Saturday morning. He plans on going ahead with his shows in Barcelona tonight and Tel Aviv on Thursday, befure resuming touring in the U.S. next month, with a show at the Spectrum on Oct. 22. Here's my review of his show at the Academy of Music this past spring, and below, the "Bird On A Wire" tumble.
