Koo Koo for CuCu

Koo Koo for CuCu

Cuban-born New York-based musical synthesist Cucu Diamentes is this week's glamorous entry in the Global Grooves Thursday night series at the Kimmel Center's Perelman Theater.  Diamentes is the longtime frontwoman of Yerba Buena, the rumba, cumbia and boogaloo specializing New York dance band, and she's out now with her first solo album, CucuLand. John Timpane's interview with her from last week's Inky is here. Tickets are $20.
