The Valentines Day Brawl

Not a massacre, just a brawl. Sharp-eyed and sunny-dispositioned singer-songwriter Josh Ritter's show at the Trocadero tonight is one of four the Idahoan is playing this week billed as the "Valentines Day Brawl." What does that mean, coming from a literary minded songsmith who seems like more of a lover than a fighter? It's a little unclear, other than that there will be candle light slow dances, free drinks for singles and "surprise events." Ritter is touring behind last year's So Runs The World Away, and working on a novel set in rural West Virginia, post World War I, set to be published later this year. Below, he goes "To The Dogs Or Whoever." Scott Hutchison of Frightened Rabbit opens.
