Hello, Darlins

Murfreesboro, Tennessee's Those Darlins' - consisting of Darlins Nikki, Kelley and Jessi, plus a drummer dude - play Johnny Brenda's tonight. They're a country band, of punk-rock provenance. The smart and sassy self-titled debut on the Oh Wow Dang label came out this week. Here's a Nashville record store performance on "Wild One," a response song to The Louvin Brother's "You're Running Wild," with Charlie Louvin in the audience. (Personally, I'm wild about that Daniel Boone hat.) And for an added bonus, here's a taste of the Darlins' disquisition on binge eating, "The Whole Damn Thing."
