Beanie Sigel: "I have a gift"

"I believe I have a gift," Beanie Sigel says. "Some people are talented, some people are gifted. When you're talented, you've got to work on your talent. When you have a gift, it comes natural. I have a gift."

"I believe I have a gift," Beanie Sigel says. "Some people are talented, some people are gifted. When you're talented, you’ve got to work on your talent. When you have a gift, it comes natural. I have a gift."

The Philadelphia rapper spoke those words a few short weeks before the release of This Time, his sixth album that will be the flagship release for the revived Ruffhouse Records, which released multi-platinum albums by Cypress Hill and Lauryn Hill in the 1990s.  The album comes out on Aug. 28, and Sigel is set to begin a two year sentence for tax evasion on Sept. 12.

My interview with Sigel is in Sunday's Inquirer A & E section. Tom Gralish took the photo of Sigel crossing Fayette Street in Conshohocken, and shot the video below.
