And The Band (Of Horses) Plays On

When the Kings of Leon canceled their tour this week, that left their opening act, Band of Horses, in the lurch.

But the Band will play on. On Wednesday, the Seattle-born, Charleston, South Carolina-based band led by spooky voiced singer Ben Bridwell posted this message on their web page: "Hey there Friends Of BoH! We're thrilled by all the support you're showing us, and have been working behind the scenes to do everything we can to come see you. Unfortunately, we won't be able to hit up all of the places we'd planned on visiting with Kings of Leon. BUT!!! We're happy to announce that we're going to play SOME SHOWS!!! Details are below. We are working on adding more, and will have another update very soon. We would like to thank Kings Of Leon for the opportunity to play the shows we did, and wish them all the best.  Love, BoH."

The lucky thing for BoH fans is that one of those SOME SHOWS!!! will be in Philadelphia at the Theater of Living Arts on South Street next Tuesday. Tickets go on sale on Ticketmaster at noon on Thursday. The band has asked fans to help pick the setlist for the shows, which can be done by going to the BoH Facebook page here. You can hear the new BoH album Infinite Arms in its entirety here.
