Updates on Boucher, Giroux

POSTED: Tuesday, May 11, 2010, 2:12 PM

Goalie Brian Boucher could miss as much as a month with a sprained MCL of his left knee, GM Paul Holmgren said after Tuesday's practice in Voorhees. Boucher injured both knees in Monday's 4-0 win in Boston, but the left knee is is worse shape, Holmgren said.

Holmgren said center Claude Giroux, who injured his shoulder when boarded late in the second period, would play Wednesday, when the host Flyers try to even the series.

Boston's 3-0 series lead has dwindled to 3-2.

The Flyers are trying to become the third team in NHL history to win a series after losing the first three games.

I'm sure we all figured Boucher would be out for a while, but that's really good news on Giroux. Does anyone have the injury report on Hartnell's balance?

Good news Giroux will still be able to play...I think this will go a long way in forcing a game 7.

Hell of a run for Boucher, this team would not be here without him.

I'd say Hartnell has earned one day free of bashing...his two best games of the season couldn't have come at a better time....not giving him a pass for his horrible play, just time off for good behavior!

To bad for Boucher. I have alot of confidence in Leighton. I just hope he isn't to rusty.

Boucher can play the air guitar from the bench to keep morale high.

Hartnell is scheduled to undergo a HBS at HUP to rule out ADD as the cause of his recent balance issues, known by its more formal name of AFD (All Fall Down) Syndrome.

key to the series is stopping the two old guys on Boston,, Recchi and Satan. To me they are the only threats that seems to be doing anything.

Here, here!!! - one hell of a run for Boucher! We saw him play at the end of the season. What happened...there is something bigger happening here. Leighton gets cleared to be back on the bench for the first time and Boosh gets injured on the same day. There are Hockey gods at work here...see you Wednesday.

Good one meat! Hartnell regained his balance by taking both skate guards off last night, but it was a temporary setback. 7 hosting 8, crazy eh.

Boucher stunk in this series. I hope he is ok and heals well but being out is a good thing for Philly. Go Bruins!
