Flyers coach Peter Laviolette let his guard down for a few minutes on Friday afternoon, uttering what most area hockey fans probably have been thinking during the team's remarkably consistent season.

In an interview on 97.5 FM, Laviolette was refreshingly candid when answering co-host Tony Bruno.

Bruno asked him if it was Stanley Cup or bust this season.

"It is for me," Laviolette said.

Later in the interview, Laviolette said "public perception" is that it's "all or nothing" this season _ and that he agreed with it.

"Anything short of it," he said of the franchise's first Cup since 1975, "and it would be a disappointment."

Some say Laviolette put pressure on his players with his statements. I say there's nothing wrong with pressure if it's channeled in the right direction.

And the Flyers are going in the right direction.

    What's your take on it?

Flyers defenseman Matt Carle reached 10,000 Twitter followers Friday night. He said he would donate $10,000 to Children's Hospital in Philadelphia when he reached 10,000 followers.

He did it in 10 days.

    Classy guy, Matt Carle.
