In a bit of a surprise, veteran right winger Jaromir Jagr said he plans to test his groin and play Tuesday night against visiting Winnipeg.

Jagr, 39, has missed a total of eight games - including the last two - because of two different groin injuries. He is searching for his first goal since Dec. 29 against Pittsburgh.

As expected, Ilya Bryzgalov will face the Jets, who have 9-8 and 6-4 wins against the Flyers this season.

Bryzgalov did not start either of those games, but was used in relief in the former game and allowed four goals on 10 shots. After that game, he said he was "lost in the woods" and had "zero confidence."

The Flyers are hoping the all-star break refreshes Bryzgalov and he plays more confidently in the season's unofficial second half. He is 18-10-4 with a 2.99 GAA and .895 save percentage.

In the two games against the Jets, Flyers wingers Scott Hartnell and Matt Read each have a total of three goals; Hartnell also has three assists.

Ben Holmstrom is expected to center Tom Sestito and Jody Shelley on the fourth line. The scratches appear to be Andreas Lilja, Harry Zolnierczyk and Zac Rinaldo.

In addition, James van Riemsdyk (11 goals) and Danny Briere (13) are out indefinitely with concussions. Briere, who said he was "excited" to be back on the ice and practice the last two days, has five points (two goals, three assists) in the two games vs. the Jets, and JVR has three points (two goals, assist) against Winnipeg.
