CHICAGO _ Winger James van Riemsdyk missd the Flyers' impressive 4-1 win in Chicago Sunday with an apparent groin injury, but his teammates didn't skip a beat.

Nik Zherdev, who had been on Mike Richards' line, replaced JVR on the unit with Jeff Carter and Claude Giroux.

The line combined for nine points and was plus-11.

JVR was injured in the third period of Saturday's 3-1 loss to New Jersey, a game in which he scored the Flyers' lone goal. He is listed as day to day, but said he hopes to play Tuesday vs. visiting Montreal.

Rookie Sergei Bobrovsky is back in the rookie-of-the-year talk after winning his fifth straight; he raised his record to 20-6-3 with an excellent 30-save effort against Chicago.

Carter had two goals Sunday and now has six goals in his last six games.

Giroux notched a career-best four assists and is on a career-high six-game points streak, during which he has 10 points.

Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger says a person or business can make a bid for the puck he stole after Game 2 of last year's Stanley Cup Finals in Chicago. He said he will donate the money to charity _ and he threw out the number $50,000 as a potential bid.

At first, a Chicago reporter thought Pronger had the missing puck from the Blackhawks' Cup-clinching win in Game 6.

That, Pronger said, would be going too far. He was a little too emotionally spent, he said, to bother stealing a puck after that crushing OT defeat.

Mike Richards has commitments he has to honor and he will not be able to attend the All-Star Game, if he is named as a replacement player.

The Flyers host Montreal on Tuesday, then have five days off for the all-star break. That is, all except all-stars Danny Briere and Giroux. and coach Peter Laviolette.
