Hartnell gets haircut with a purpose; Bartulis goes to Phantoms

Flyers winger Scott Hartnell gets this week's Good Guy award.

Hartnell cut his hair Friday and donated it to Locks of Love (locksoflove.org). Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under 21 who suffer from long-term medical hair loss.

“I looked on their website and read that my hair had to be 10 inches long," Hartnell said. "So I went over to the East End Salon in Philadelphia and had the barber chop off my hair, place it in a package and shipped it to Locks of Love.”

Classy gesture.

Oskars Bartulis, the Flyers' seventh defenseman, has been loaned to AHL Adirondack. Bartulis played in two games with the Flyers this season and was plus-1.
