Flyers juggling lineup: Carcillo, Bartulis ready for Hawks

(UPDATED)
CHICAGO _ It appears left winger Dan Carcillo and defenseman Oskars Bartulis will be in the Flyers’ lineup Monday night in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals in Chicago.
Carcillo will replace James van Riemsdyk, and Bartulis will apparently take Ryan Parent’s spot.
Carcillo said he was excited to play after being a healthy scratch the last three playoff games, including the Finals opener.
Parent committed a turnover that led to an early Blackhawks’ goal in their wild 6-5 win in the opener. He played one shift _ 41 seconds _ and did not return.
The Flyers trail the series, 1-0.
Carcillo will likely play left wing on a line with Mike Richards and Jeff Carter. That would cause Simon Gagne to move down to the unti with Claude Giroux and Arron Asham.
Carcillo said it was difficult to be a healthy scratch after scoring 12 regular-season goals and posting six points (two goals, four assists) and a plus-3 rating in 15 playoff games. He scored an overtime goal to beat New Jersey in Game 3 of the conference quarterfinals.
"That's all...I've been thinking about for the last week or so," he said of returning to the lineup.
The Flyers hope Carcillo will give them more energy and physicality.
"That's my game," he said. "Obviously, I'm looking to make a difference, whether that be scoring or whether that be just going out there and banging everybody I see. That's pretty standard for me. If I don't do that, I'm not in the game."
Carcillo said coach Peter Laviolette told him Sunday that he would be playing in Game 2.
"I'm excited ro be in the lineup. I can't wait to get out there," he said.
After Carcillo was benched, the Flyers won the final two games against Montreal. He then sat out the sloppy Finals opener against Chicago.
"We were playing really well," he said. "We closed out the Montreal series with two really, really good games, and our last game wasn't the best. It's a tough situation you're in, but you just have to somehow keep an even-keel and just be positive. You always hope you can play. I mean, you play all year with these guys and you're battling to get to this point....and then you're out. It's a bit of a shock, but I'm back in and it's a great feeling. I'm going to do my best to make a difference tonight."
Carcillo would not reveal where he would play.
Chicago will again be without injured LW Andrew Ladd (shoulder); his replacement, Tomas Kopecky, scored the game-winner in Saturday's opener, snapping a 5-5 third-period tie.
What are the lines Sam? Fabulous
Bad move....I'd rather scratch Powe than JVR. UncleEddie
Powe tries. JVR watches too much. For a big guy he makes Briere look like a bully. dennisbohner
JVR has been pushed around alot in the playoffs. He is the right choice to sit down.. And sitting down Parent is long overdue. Laviolette is doing the right things bradco
JVR looked lost the another night. He does not back check well. He lost his man on one of the goals. breadman

awesome move! JVR is a little too young and wide eyed. He is a project that is going to take a few years of seasoning. Carbomb will be perfect for this series provided he keeps the silly stuff under control and the ref's don't target him. Like the moves.... LiLAlConroy
It is time to get rid of Ryan Parent. He is not the D-Man he looked like he was going to be. DrM
I'm not a big fan of Carcillo, but it is a good idea to bring back his energy right now. But he should be on 4th line. My question is why in the world does Powe have to stay in the lineup?! I know he plays and hits hard. But that is ALL he does. VicM
Take some penalties. hit some people, it's a long series. Like when Richards knocked out Krejci, we lost that battle, but won the war. Bollnad needs to get some of his medicine back, Keith and Seabrook need to be hit - A LOT. Run over Niemi. Play Flyer hockey. mark77m
I would move Carter off the Richards line, not gagne. Why disrupt 2 lines. Put Car Bomb back with Ritchie &Gags and let Carter play wing with Giroux. I'd love to see Giroux setting the table for Carter. Think of how many opportunities JVR shot high, wide, off the outside of the net, or right into the goalie. Now think of what Carter would do with those chances. Imissdawk
TONKA = LOSER. FLYERS = STANLEY CUP CHAMPS. gottaloveit
Philadelphia is a passionate town w/ decent fans... rude, loud, unclean, obnoxious, hideous fans that is...and people dumnb as rocks.. as the low national hs test scores indicate, Philly is not the brightest town. But optimism is great, and why deny these fans hope?? This town doesn't have much going for it, so this improbable cup run has really raised the stakes for the City. I haven't seen this much excitement in Philly since the Rocky days. I'm happy for these Philly fans, as the proud as one could be of a bunch of poons w/ trucker mouths. Yeh. I created the screen name as a dedication to you people. Animal town. Hawks in 5 (i'm feeling generous). thepoon
thepoon=tonkas sister...both of you climb back under the rock you found your way out from under. Idiots! TXPHILLYGUY
