Flyers lineup changes; Pronger out

As expected, Chris Pronger will not play Game 1 Thursday against visiting Buffalo.

But in a minor surprise, it appears winger Nik Zherdev will be a healthy scratch.

Here are the expected lines:

* Danny Briere centering Ville Leino and Scott Hartnell.

What is the most worrisome injury?
Chase Utley’s knee
Chris Pronger’s hand
Brad Lidge’s shoulder
Stewart Bradley’s elbow and knee

* Claude Giroux centering Jeff Cater and Andreas Nodl.

* Mike Richards centering Kris Versteeg and James van Riemsdyk.

* Blair Betts centering Dan Carcillo and Darroll Powe.

Look for Danny Syvret to be paired with Sean O'Donnell on the third D pairing.

GM Paul Holmgren continued to say Pronger was day to day as he recovers from a broken right hand.

If the Flyers win Thursday, Pronger will probably sit out Saturday. If they lose Thursday, there will be urgency to put him into Saturday's lineup.
