Flyers winger Harry Zolnierczyk was suspended for four games by the NHL on Sunday for his hit Saturday on Ottawa's Mike Lundin.

Mike Knuble is expected to take his place in the lineup.

Brendan Shanahan, the NHL's dean of discipline, said Zolnierczyk "launched" at Lundin "before contact was made" and that the Ottawa defenseman suffered a serious injury.

Zolnierczyk will lose about $13,000 in salary for the four games.
