The Flyers today demoted forwards Steve Downie and Jared Ross to the AHL Phantoms.

Downie played only a little over five minutes Saturday in San Jose and apparently was in coach John Stevens' doghouse after taking an early penalty.

Andreas Nodle is expected to be the fouth line RW Wednesday against visiting San Jose.

The lines were juggled again in practice today. They will probably look like this on Wednesday:

   Gagne-Briere-Knuble.

   Hartnell-Richards-Lupul.

  Upshall-Carter-Asham.

 Cote-Metro-Nodl.

asham is not a scorer, he should be on the enforcer line, if they are gonna give nodl a chance, at least put him on a scoring line with carter

what the hell is this.. scoring hasn't been the problem. they're giving up 4+ goals a game.

They should see if they can unload Downie. I don't think he's ever going to make it here. He hasn't shown any one thing that he's good at. Very disappointing for a 1st round pick.
