RALEIGH, N.C _ In a gesture that oozes with class, the Flyers will ALL wear No. 17 in honor of Rod Brind'Amour during pregame warmups Friday night.

Brind'Amour, a former Flyer, will have his No. 17 Carolina jersey retired in a 7 p.m. pregame ceremony.

The Flyers and Hurricanes will meet at 8 p.m. at the RBC Center in Raleigh.

As a first-year captain, Brind'Amour led Carolina, coached by Peter Laviolette, to the 2006 Stanley Cup.

He had an outstanding career with the Flyers before being dealt to Caroina in 2000.
