MONTREAL _Center Jeff Carter and right winger Ian Laperriere will return to the Flyers' lineup Saturday afternoon for Game 4 of the conference finals against Montreal.

Carter has been sidelined since April 20 with a broken foot, while Laperriere hasn't played since breaking his orbital bone and suffering a brain bruise and concussion on April 22. Laperriere also needed about 70 stitches after blocking a shot above his right eye in a playoff game against New Jersey.

Andreas Nodl and Dan Carcillo are out of the lineup.

Sitting Carcillo is a mistake...he was one of the few with any intestinal fortitude in game 3

i kinda thought lappy, but carter back too? thats surprising. thought he was still days away and not in game shape. wonder how much time they get. should give an emotional edge. i dont expect much of a physical or scoring edge from carter today, just ease him back in. lappy tho may be a huge lift.

I like Carcillo...isn't there someone else with similar talent that could have sat. I like how he stirs things up, even if he plays a little...

3cents - your statement is worth your name...they went 7-4 w/o Carter and 6-4 w/o Lappy, in both cases advancing the second round and up 2-1 in the conference finals...

I love seeing that both Lappy and Carter are back, but why sit Carcillo? Especially after how the Flyers played in Game 3. Carter and Lappy will provide the lift the Flyers need.

Flygirls? They completed one of the greatest comebacks in the hitory of sports. They deserve praise. Carcillo is worse off with his knee than Carts. Agree, I don't expect much from carter but it might pay dividendes if a game 6 is necessary.

Supposedly Carcillo has something going on with his knee. He hasn't been as effective in the last two series. If they need Carcillo for emotion in this game then they're cooked. Downside is that Laperierre and Carter may feel the effects of the pace late in the game. For a game like today you want a long, strong bench. Hopefully both teams will bring it - the first three games have been lopsided on way or another.
