Bryz: 'Let it go'

GLENDALE, Ariz. - Goalie Ilya Bryzgalov had his second straight solid outing against his former team, helping the Flyers defeat the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday night, 4-2.
"He took control," center Danny Briere said.
It was Bryzgalov's first game in Glendale since he was dealt to the Flyers after last season.
“I can’t explain what I felt,” Bryzgalov said. “I played here for 3 ½ years….Part of my soul is right here.”
Bryzgalov made 36 saves and is now 2-0 with a 1.50 goals-against average in two wins against Phoenix. Coyotes fans booed loudly when his name was introduced before the game, but once the contest started, there was little reaction from the crowd toward the 31-year-old goalie.
After the game, Phoenix reporters asked Bryzgalov about his reaction to the two Coyotes defensemen who, before their team's 2-1 loss in Philadelphia last month, criticized the goalie and said he was a derisive person in the locker room.
"Just let in behind. Let it go. Who cares?" Bryzgalov said. "It's not for me to personalize. Why are we starting to talk about that? I don't care what they think."

Flyers defenseman Andrej Meszaros was shaken up late in the game, but GM Paul Holmgren downplayed the severity of the injury.
"Nothing serious," he said.

The Flyers play in Buffalo on Wednesday, then host Pittsburgh and Sidney Crosby on Thursday. That game will match arguably the NHL's top two players - Sidney Crosby and Claude Giroux. Giroux is tied with Toronto's Phil Kessel for the league scoring lead with 32 points.

why are they booing? If not for him, Phoenix probably wouldn't even have a hockey team right now. loyalty??, his rights were traded and maloney stated they were not going to keep him anyway because of their dire financial situation. if they want to boo someone, they should boo turris debbyt
or boo the move to phoenix, a terrible city for a hockey team jamarder
Knowing the appropriate time to boo is an art cultivated over many years of crushing disappointment and unrealized potential. You can't expect a novice town like Phoenix to get it right. Denali
Denali, The most succinct, intelligent and perfect statement on booing I ever saw. You have to be a Philadelphia fan to appreciate it. Johnnyboyl
Lol! Thats true Denali! Hilarious...but painfully true. Neebo
