Adler and Runyon meet Inquirer Editorial Board

POSTED: Tuesday, September 25, 2012, 5:10 PM

Republican Congressman Jon Runyon of New Jersey and his Democratic opponent, Shelly Adler, spoke to the Inquirer Editorial Board on Tuesday, as they both sought the newspaper's endorsement in the Nov. 6 general election. Adler wants to take from Runyon the Third Congressional District seat that was held by her husband, John Adler, who died last year. She and Runyon, a former Philadelphia Eagles player, disagreed on almost every issue, from health-care reform to amending the tax code, as they took distinctively partisan views on each subject.
