Silicon Valley-backed firm raids Philly tech for bosses

Symphony Health Solutions, a Horsham-based company formed by Silicon Valley investor Romesh Wadhwani's Symphony Technology Group from locally-based ImpactRx, TargetRx, and two other data and consulting firms last Spring, has added two more local executives for its top management staff.

Symphony today said it's hired Don Otterbein, who headed Business Transformation Services at IMS Health's Plymouth Meeting-based US division, as head of Marketing and Product Management. It also added Jeff Cottle, former head of human resources at SunGard Financial Systems, as Chief People Officer. In June it named IMS and Thomson Healthcare veteran William Nelligan as chief executive officer.
