PACT cites ThingWorx sale, InstaMed's Marvin

At yearly black-tie

PACT, the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technology, had its yearly party at investor Ira Lubert's Valley Forge Casino last Thursday, and cited these companies-people-and-deals-of-the-year:

Investment Deal: Safeguard Scientifics, Wayne, for selling ThingWorx, the Chester County-based "Internet of Things" platform, to PTC Inc. in December, for $112 million + a workout bonus, or at least 4X what Safeguard invested in 2011-13.
