Tea Party Koch bros, liberal Soros top Forbes rich list
The richest people in America are financing the 2012 US election wars. If bankers are so bad, why aren't they richer? At Comcast, Vanguard and other companies, the money is going Republican.
This is of interest because from the President on down the American public has been repeatedly told that bankers made fortunes in the banking crisis. These guys supposedly “raped” the public with their nefarious schemes and made fortunes by doing so. As late as yesterday, from the Charlie Rose interview of author Michael Lewis to Bubba the Love Sponge’s pithy comments, the falsehoods were being perpetuated that bankers caused the economic downturn and they benefitted meaningfully from it.
Yet, Forbes cannot find these benefactors. Repeating there is no CEO, COO, or CFO of a major, or any, banking institution on the Forbes 400 list of richest Americans.
