52-acre Bucks office site on sale for $30 million

Former Lockheed Martin campus

The property brokerage Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is offering 100 Campus Drive, Newtown, Bucks County and 52.5 acres with three office-lab-R&D buildings and a four-year-old conference center for sale at $30 million.

The buildings most recently served military contractor Lockheed Martin, which is in the process of moving 1,000 engineering-related jobs out of Newtown and consolidated the work in Denver after U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., bullied the company into reversing a plan that would have moved other jobs to the Philadelphia area from New York. (A previous version of this item wrongly made it look as if the site were vacant.)

The buildings cover 461,000 ft2, with 192,000 sq ft of expansion approved. JLL broker Tom Weitzel in a statement called it one of the largest blocs of space available in the region, and noted its proximity to the booming office corridor around Princeton, N.J. nearby. JLL said EVPs James Galbally and Robert Bull, SVP Kim Meincke, and director Ron Cariola are supporting broker Tom Weitzel on the sale.
