Bala Cynwyd security firm says Bush officials joined board

LaserLock Technologies, a penny-stock, money-losing Bala Cynwyd "authentication" company that hopes to land U.S. agencies, drugmakers, retailers and gambling casinos for its anti-counterfeiting technology, claims it's landed a string of Washington, D.C. power brokers for its board of directors.

Michael Sonnenreich, chairman of ad agency Kikaku America, will serve as chairman of LaserLock, which says it recently raised over $4 million in initial investment capital, from Sonnenreich and other investors.

In a statement, Sonnenreich said he's signed the following fellow directors:

Marine Corps Gen. Peter Pace (retired), chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 2005-07;

Paul Wolfowitz, who as George Bush's deputy defense secretary helped direct the U.S. occupation of Iraq, and later served as President of the World Bank;

Neil Alpert, LaserLock's president since last year. He is a past president of lobbying firm Kiawah Group, an ex-Republican National Committee staffer, and a former national campaign director for the American-Israel Political Action Committee (AIPAC);

Jonathan Weinberger, executive vice president at vehicle-electronics developer Veedims, and a former Treasury Department and Office of the U.S. Trade Representative staffer;

Constance Harriman, a director of the Export-Import Bank and former Assistant Secretary of the Interior:

Walter Hauck 3d, a former Pfizer executive who also served as CIO at Dun & Bradstreet.
