Ex-Phillie Lenny Dykstra “removed and presumably sold” furniture and fixtures at one of his California mansions so they wouldn't fall into the hands of creditors, according to court papers filed by a lender that helped finance Dykstra's $17 million purchase of NHL great Wayne Gretzky's Thousand Oaks mansion, Bloomberg News reports here. Dykstra's lawyer didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.

Dykstra enjoyed a flamboyant post-baseball career in stock-index investments and sports publishing before filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July. As the story notes: "A person in bankruptcy isn’t allowed to dispose of assets. Some do it anyway."

Maybe he's heading back to France to drink those $25000 bottles of wine and speak Franglais in his sad and ignorant way. After seeing that HBO vignette on him last month- he will certainly be on the "run" from ex employees, creditors, you name it.... But, I can't help but still root for him...not sure why. Weird.

Maybe they should have "Nail"ed it to the house. See what I did there? His nickname is "Nails" so I used that in a clever way to indicate what he should have done with his property. Ah, Fridays...

***Bloomberg did not say it. A writer at Bloomberg did.*** Hey P Even you do know that they were talking about Bloomberg news service and not the mayor of New York right? "Bloomberg News reports here."

Didn't like him or any of the others on 'Macho Row' even when they went to the World Series. Couldn't care less now.

Dykstra has always been a loser. It was obvious he was steroided in 93, but that was okay because we won. Well it wasn't okay, and he was a dip stick then and a complete moron now.

Sad that he sqwandered all he had. By not saving his basball income he is in the uneviable position of being broke and uneducated. A bad spot to be in at this point in his life. I bet the regrets will eat him up.
