Dykstra locked out of his mansions

POSTED: Thursday, September 17, 2009, 8:34 AM

"Security guards have been ordered to keep former baseball star Lenny Dykstra or anyone representing him away from his two estates in the exclusive gated community" of Lake Sherwood, west of Los Angeles, reports the local Ventura County Star here. They're acting on orders from lenders who financed Dykstra's purchase of the millionaire homes, now in default.

Reporter Stephanie Hoops also tracks down the Beverly Hills pawnbroker who posted Dykstra's Phillies and Mets championship rings and other items for auction after he left them there for cash last Spring and didn't buy them back. "Sad to see a guy who used to be on top of the world years ago, and is where he is now," says shop owner Yossi Dina. Link to the auction listing here.

Not sure why everyone is giving Lenny grief. If a plumber were to lose his home, or a garbage man, people would be upset for him. Lennys lifestyle was commensurate with his income, then he lost it all, just like many other wealthy people have in this terrible economy. This is the problem with Philly folk...so much anger and jealousy over wealthy people...turn to Obama for your handout as he will take from the rich and give to the poor. Just wait until the middle class is going to start paying for healthcare for all the dirtbags who wont work. You wont realize how expensive something is until its free....hold on to your wallets folks..here it comes.

"Mansions" Wow, I feel sorry for him. It's not just one mansion but several. I am crying for him.

If i was Mitch WIlliams, I would bash him everytime I got on the radio and TV after how he threw him under the bus while he was doing interviews on how he was going to be the next Warren Buffett. Dykstra is a piece of sh**. Maybe he can go live in the outhouse behind Krik's home in West Virginia. That is where he belongs.

There are MANY people who will tell you he is getting what he deserves. He's a delinquent, and one of the first who started the steroid era.

Oh yeah, poor Lenny. He was such a standup guy that operated with integrity, responsibility and respect. HAHA! He deserves everything he's getting. No sympathy from this Philly folk.

JPHIL...You are ignorant and uninformed. Go look at what Lenny has done and then ask why people are pounding him. His "lifestyle was commensurate with his income?" Really? ITS STUPID planning and STUPID living. He gets what he deserves.

jphil....may be you should reserve your comments for topics which you know a little about. Your obsession with your right wing political ideology is obviously a "beard" for some personal inadequacies you experience on a daily basis. What does fans dislike of Lenny Dykstra have to do with healthcare or income redistribution? It has nothing to do with jealousy...Lenny cheated at in his last two careers, swindled many people out of money, and treated fans (who adored him) as second class serfs. Lenny is rude, abusive and pompous.....what goes around, comes around.

Man, some people can turn anything, no matter how unrelated, into an anti-Obama rant. Well played, Jphil.
