S. Phila casino, 216 apts at 401 Race on Tuesday planners' list
Commission to hear proposals
Developer Robert Ambrosi's ARC Properties will be presenting its proposal for 216 apartments, with surface and underground parking, on property ARC controls at 401 Race St., to city planning and zoning boards later this month.
The plan goes before the city Planning Commission at its August meeting, Tuesday August 18, 1 p.m. upstairs at 1515 Arch St. The zoning hearing will be Aug. 26.
Separately, onetime State Rep. Richard Hayden, D-Phila., now a well-connected attorney at Saul Ewing LLP, will present aspects of the Live! Hotel and Casino Philadelphia Master Plan for the 900 Packer Ave. site, also at the Aug. 18 planning meeting. This is a preliminary presentation, no public questions or board vote.
