McDermott: making SAP a household name

William R. "Bill" McDermott Jr., the "salesman's salesman" veteran of Xerox and basketball who is Newtown Square-based co-CEO of German software giant SAP AG - which now employs 2,500 engineers-managers-support staff in suburban Philadelphia - tells how he's trying to turn his behind-the-scenes enterprise software maker, which connects Dow, DuPont, Comcast, Wawa and hundreds more big companies to their data, into a household name for cloud-powered smartphone users.
