Abertis's $12.8B bid takes PA Turnpike auction
Spain's Abertis Infraestructuras SA, which runs airports, toll roads and parking garages in Europe, joins financial partners Citigroup and Criteria CaixaCorp in the winning $12.8 billion bid for the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The bids came in on the low side of what Gov. Rendell hoped to attract. The consortium still has to help Rendell sell the hostile state Senate on the idea. Abertis release here. Inquirer story here.
