$3M to 'modernize' Pyramid Club

ClubCorp modernizes

The Pyramid Club, atop Philadelphia's BNY Mellon office tower at 1735 Market St., says its Texas-based owner, ClubCorp has finished a $3 million renovation to the Pyramid, which opened in the pyramid-shaped penthouse on the top 52nd story after the building opened in 1990.

The club has added a new reception area, added the Source+Trade bar (local brews, Wine Wall), connection-ready Touchdown Rooms for meetings, and "modernized" lounge and dining areas. Pyramid Club General Manager is Rick Winland.

The Mellon tower remains among Center City's higher-priced office space in the Market Street West district, which is home to the city's major law firms and branch investment and accounting offices, an increasing proportion of apartments, and Comcast Corp., whose fast-rising second high-rise tower will include restaurants and a Four Seasons hotel in the clouds above the Pyramid.

Club Corp. also operates more than 200 U.S. country clubs, plus business-oriented facilities in cities from Beijing to Chicago.
