I don't think anyone will let them be successful. If they show any signs of success, the International Governing Body of Shoe Wearers will confiscate their cleats. Anyone else want to pile on?

They'll be fine. Good players will still show up at PSU, fans will still show up, they'll be on TV. In a few years, the sanctions will be gone, people will cluck over the "terrible tragedy" and life goes on like it always does.

Certainly makes sense to castrate a football team due to the perversion of an ex coach. Yessir good ol fashioned frontier justice.

The program wasn't castrated due to the perversion of an ex-coach. It was castrated for first failing to report ongoing rape of children to authorities, then conspiring to obstruct justice, all the while enabling Sandusky continued access and opportunity to new victims. One phone call at the appropriate time from the people running the program and none of this happens.

Well, I'll let the JoePologists deal with the ongoing boo-hooing about this. Let's look at the schedule: what should have been eight wins (with the creampuffs of Ohio, Virginia, Purdue and Indiana included), could be down to I think five or six. Teams with the better athletes tend to win the most games, and Penn State has lost a number of their best so far. They might make it through this season with a respectable record, but it's gonna be downhill from there. You reap what you sow; football might actually end up being fun again up there and not religion.

Funny the board of trusties who were found at fault skate free. The gov then A/G skates free. All the little people get hammered. All this indignation leaves me to believe that some people just feel good about hammering the little people. Penn State should do well on the field. They will be motivated and smarter than before.

The head of the Middle States Accreditation Board is a wife beater. I don't think his organization wants to take on PSU.

They will lose 4 Big Ten games at a minimum and my alma mater will kick their butts up and down the field on the last day before the BIG championship! On Wisconsin!

Ouch! BirdinParadise.....they play Wisconsin a whole week before the B1G Championship, not the day before. Also, it's not an I between the B and the G in the abbreviation, it's the numeral 1. Try to get this stuff correct. Through all of this summer, it has been nice to see the support your school, coaching staff, etc have been giving to Penn State. Thank you for that. By the way, Penn State will not lose 4 B1G games, I think you're gonna be surprised. Less than 2 weeks til the start of the season!!! See you in November! Are you coming to Happy Valley for the game?
PS....hope Montee Ball is all healthy!
