Cornerback Tony Davis said that he expects senior Lydell Sargeant to start at the right cornerback spot for this Saturday's game. Sargeant and A.J. Wallace were both listed as the possible starters on the Week 1 depth chart that was released yesterday. It was widely expected that Wallace had the spot secured, but the junior suffered a jaw injury in the spring and sprained a hamstring early in this preseason. Starting Sargeant, who started ten games last season, isn't much of a stretch, but it could be a sign that the coaches are trying to motivate Wallace.

Davis is back at cornerback after a season at free safety. He said, in a conference call, that he's excited to  move back to his natural position.
