Penn State-Temple third quarter update

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. --

1. Temple finally scored! Temple finally scored! After suffering through two shutouts in the series the Owls scored their first points since the 2003 game, when they lost, 23-10. That's 112 minutes (courtesy of Inquirer columnist Bob Ford's research) since Temple's last points.

2. Penn State answered with another seven points when tailback Stephfon Green zoomed 69 yards for a touchdown. The explosive Green was aided by a block from the pulling Stefen Wisniewski, found a crease, shook one tackler and raced into the end zone . Wide receiver Deon Butler gave Green a nice downfield block. Penn State's up, 38-3.
