POSTED: Monday, September 20, 2010, 12:34 PM

Penn State and Temple have agreed to a new three-year football series. The Nittany Lions will host the Owls in 2014 and 2016 while Temple gets the 2015 home game.

“Temple is pleased to announce our new agreement with the Nittany Lions, one of the truly great football programs in the history of college football,” said Athletic Director Bill Bradshaw. “This assures that the series will continue six of the next seven years.”

Temple and Penn State have met 39 times with PSU holding a 35-3-1 advantage.  Penn State hosts Temple this Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
Here's what the schedule looks like through 2016.

Sept. 22, 2012                    at Penn State

This is great for the Temple football program. Penn State already has enough non conference stiffs on it's schedule, including Temple in the past. Hopefully Temple can continue on the rise and compete with PSU year in and year out.

Temple = another non-conference stiff. Another warm-up game for Boldin before the big ten schedule.
