Penn State's final non-conference game -- a Keystone State clash against against Temple on Sept. 22 at Beaver Stadium -- has been scheduled for a 3:30 kickoff.

The game will be televised by ABC and will air on ESPN2 outside the ABC coverage area.

It will be the second-straight 3:30 start time for the Nittany Lions. This weekend's game against Navy will also start at 3:30, and also features an ABC regional telecast.

The Oct. 6 Homecoming game against Northwestern is scheduled for noon.

The Penn State-Temple game has a few unique features. Most notably, it's going to be a "Blue Out."

"White Outs" have been a mainstay at Beaver Stadium for years. They 're normally designated for the most challenging game on the home schedule. The "Blue Out" is something different. A similar event was planned for the Nov. 11 game last season against Nebraska.

On Sept. 22, fans are encouraged to wear blue (the nationally-recognized color of child abuse prevention). In and around the stadium, donations will be collected to benefit the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR).

The theme for the 2012 "Blue Out" is "One Promise." On the official Facebook event, it says:  "Together, we will see the power of individual resolve multiplied on a grand scale. Together, we will show the world what Penn State truly represents."
