Fairfax (Va.) High School tailback Nick Scott has received a scholarship offer from Penn State, according to published reports.

Tailback Nick Scott, who just finished his junior season at Fairfax (Va.) High School, has received a scholarship offer from Penn State, according to reports in the Washington Post and several recruiting web sites.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Scott, who rushed for 1,164 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, also has an offer in hand from Boston College. He has not yet been rated by Scout.com.

The Post reported that Scott had paid an unofficial visit to Alabama and attended its game against Mississippi State on Oct. 27. He also has interest in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia, according to Scout.com.
