Penn State releases statement on player fight
Penn State's office of public information released a statement Saturday night regarding the locker-room fight between starting quarterback Matt McGloin and wide receiver Curtis Drake that took place after football practice earlier in the day. The contents of the statement are below.
"Penn State Police were called to the football locker room this afternoon to investigate a report of a fight between two members of the Nittany Lions football team -- Matt McGloin and Curtis Drake -- after they finished practice.
McGloin was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center where he was examined, treated and released.
Campus police and Penn State's Office of Judicial Affairs will investigate the incident and report results as they would for any other student involved in an incident on campus."

Time to shut the program down...Sex abuse by former assistant coaches, shear cowardice by Mike McQueary when he saw a continuation of the abuse on campus, Joe Paterno saying "that's bad" cover-ups by those administrative officials responsible for reporting the incident to the police, and now fights among the players and the back-up QB getting caught shop lifting. This program has been out of control for at least ten years hen Paterno AND his staff started recruiting hoods to be competitive..A series of assaults, rapes, breaking and entering, academic suspensions. and a continuing failure by both the players and the administration to prove "Penn State Proud"..It's not. These players and staff should be allowed to participate in the bowl game..with the exception of McQueary, McGloin, Drake and Bolden. then get rid of them all..players and coaches and let the program start over. Let that stadium sit empty for a year, and tear down the statue of Paterno and take his name off the library. I'm sick of the whole bunch of them..and I hope Houston beats them 50-0 in the "who cares bowl" in Dallas in an ice storm.
